| Spurs Game Matchday Thread on 22:44 - Dec 28 by DorsetIan | I‘m an anorak and have stopwatch on for injury time, and the 5 mins was definitely up. Ref had pointed to his watch when JWP was taking his time over his last corner during the 5 mins, so I was expecting more than 5 but guess denying us more time to allow Broja to complete his run when the additional time came from our slow play was probably right. |
It was a seemingly a bad performance from the ref today. From the beginning of the game, Spurs had the ball playing around their backline, a Spurs player went down injured, but Spurs decided to play the advantage and play on. This went on for a 30 seconds or so and then the game just stopped as the Spurs player with the ball just stopped. Spurs then had a free kick, that the ref didn't give as Spurs played on.He seemed desperate to blow the whistle against us and even booked Ralph! Got lucky with off side by the looks of it. And the sending off, was the West Ham player booked when he stopped Broja the other day? Of he wasn't, why was Salisu booked as well as the penalty. It's like a double punishment. And the Broja chance at the end, why didn't the ref just let that happen? 10 seconds later we would have scored or not. He should have just seen the result of that attack before blowing his whistle. I reckon the ref had £100 quid on a draw. [Post edited 28 Dec 2021 23:03]
