No it's not irrelevant. Leeds have 2 games to play so can get to 40 points. Saints are on 40 points. There are 16 goals in it. If we lost to Liverpool 5 nil and Leicester 5 nil, or Liverpool by 7 and Leicester by 3, Leeds could win their final 2 games 3 nil and 4 nil and overtake us. Highly unlikely but Bristol Rovers won by 7 the other day to get promoted against all odds. If Chelsea won by 5, it's makes us absolutely safe. [Post edited 11 May 2022 20:56]

No it didn't. This is what has to be weighed up. As I said earlier, Leeds spent more money than Saints. They had a so called top manager. They bring in a new one who looks to be taking them down. This is the risk. It's nor very inspiring I agree, but we don't go down under Ralph. | |
