Do we? 14th highest wage bill and we finished 15th. Not really that shocking is it?

Still I'm sure the bloke who did all of the heavy lifting in getting Burnley relegated would get us challenging for Europe...

This chart shows that Ralph did pretty much exactly what was expected of him, the problem seems to be the streaky way he achieved it - by giving us hopes of a top ten finish when we were on fire followed by a catastrophic ending means that sentiment rules over facts with many fans.

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

"The club has made the decision to part with Kelvin Davis, Dave Watson and Craig Fleming."

That's very good news.

Re-shufflling is when you move the same personnel around. These are sackings.

Yeah well the fact is with Ralph, overall he’s been an ok manger for us (that is taking into account of the resources and players hes had at his disposal). It’s just almost everything he’s done for periods and such, have ether been amazing, or abysmal. As some facts/stats would make you think he’s our own Fergie, whilst others would suggest he’s basically a redknap 2.0, hence why in tota, he’s been average for us, just with more of a range in feelings about him whilst he’s been here.
As on the negative side you’ve got the two 9-0 losses, some of the poor runs we’ve been on, how poor we’ve done against teams around/below us in the league, how many points we drop etc.
As if you saw that then you’d think that he’s gotta go, but when you look at the positives…
Like the FA cup semi/quarter finals in back to back seasons, going top of the PL for the first time ever, some of the amazing runs we’ve been on, how we’ve actually been challenging the top teams again (hence why, with the exception of Liverpool and Chelsea) we’ve gotten just as many/more points against all of the top 7 teams this season, than they got against us), we play entertaining football etc.

As in total they level each other out, and this seasons basically summed it up by how from August to December we were on an average start, looking just as much behind us as we were looking forward. Then from December to March we were on an amazing run, winning like 9 games, loosing 2 and just drawing 1 (so 28 points from 36). But then from March to the end of the season, a completely sh*t one, winning just 1, loosing like 9 and drawing 2 games (so 5 points from like 39). But when you total those runs together you get 33 points from 75, which is the sort of total you’d expect us to get form 25 games. It’s just as he had that amazing spell where everyone loved him, he also had a rubbish one where most wanted him out, but if you vice versa’d it then everyone would be loving him now, it’s just we ended the season on the poor one which is why soo many are on his back.

Poll: Should the football be on again next weekend

For me, the good runs have been the exceptions. And the fact that we have played so badly so frequently is the real worry.

Be it during the course of a game or when we've been on a bad run, Ralph's inability to 'shut up shop' or 'stop the rot' is clear enough.
