It's unbelievable that a goalkeeper, who has been dropped numerous times, over the last few years is back as our number one, still making the same mistakes. The defence was again static, but it's not a surprise, they are the same players. Salisu gives away a sloppy free kick in a dangerous area, which they scored from. [Post edited 16 Jul 2022 15:10]

All McCarthy did was to pick the ball out of the net 3 times. Lis didn’t do much but looks like he would make a better back up assuming the new guy is going to start.
Good goal by Armstrong who previously looked like he could reap a bag of cement on the two occasions the ball was played up to him. Hopefully it will do his confidence the world of good. Small again doesn’t look the same player when he steps up to the first team. Can’t read much into this performance other than we still look toothless up front and leak goals. |  | | |

To be fair to McCarthy their third was a bit of a worldly but the free kick was disappointing and the second poor defending to give them the chance in the first place. He just looks like a man who is shot to pieces and expects to concede goals though. | | | |
