Was Ralph the problem? Or do we have a cr@p team? Ralph got some good results with terrible players. The fans will soon see how sh!t we are, and that is and always was the problem.

Ings sold, Broja gone, Romeu gone, Long gone, Hojberg gone need I go on. The club's owners, now and the previous ones have destroyed this club. What did the fans do, they just blamed Ralph.

You didn't want Jones? Wake up. What did you expect with terrible unambitious owners? We were never going to appoint a good manager with that team. The problem is higher up. If Ralph had good players and they didn't keep selling our best players, he would have been good too. That team is totally f@cking sh!t and needs some.momey spent on it. Not f@cking 18 year olds who might be good in ten years time.

Poll: Should Will Still be sacked?

I am not sure we are a c@ap team I have looked back at last years run of form and the team that took Spurs apart (i was there!!), the lineup that night was
Forster, KWP, Perraud, Salisu, Bednarek
Romeu, JWP, S Armstrong, Eli
C Adams, Broja.
We played like Real Madrid that night, quick passing, pressing to get the ball back, even JWP passed the bl@@dy thing forwards. Then RH started the tinkering and pi@@ing around with the team and we seemed to fall apart with our decline now complete at the foot of the league that at one stage we topped last season.
If you look at that side there are only 4 that are not with us Bednarek, Forster, Broja and Romeu, I cannot believe that they (with the exception of Romeu would be capable of making that much of a difference. There has to be some fundamental issues that are causing this decline it is baffling me. Anybody else have any ideas.

Poll: Martin out

The problem is not entirely RH or NJ's fault. It is Ward Prowse. He kills the MF with his lack of pace and negativity, not to mention inability to act as a Captain. The actual problem is that he was teachers pet under Ralph and NJ hasn't got the guts to drop him.

Poll: How many players should RH play at the back on Saturday?

Ralph had them playing well above their quality at times. That team is no comparison to Kane, Son, Dier is it? Ralph had championship players playing real electric pressing football by some miracle. Players like JWP and Perraud were good under Ralph. But Romeu, Broja and Forster are massive losses. Those three made a difference.

I'm not sure I go with this 'we should have kept Ralph' thought.
Yes! Given the choice of Ralph or Jones I would have kept Ralph.
But we were in big trouble and needed a fresh ideology.
I could never forget how we lost twice 9-0, once of which was at home.
Ralph lost his righthand man Danny Rohl which was a blow, coupled with the inability of the club to buy a desperately needed goalscorer.
I liked Ralph and most fans did too but it needed changing.
Never did I think we would have brought in a Luton Manager, one that had failed at Stoke so badly.
We have some decent players who can play a lot better but the mindset needs changing.

The problem is shít owners. The current bunch of chancers think they've found a new money making scheme. Invest small amounts on young untried players with the hope one in five proves good enough to sell on. No thought of building a team, no thought of trying to win anything, no thought anything other than keeping costs to a minimum. Success for Sports Republic will not be premiership survival this season, but selling a player for £50m.

Poll: If our new manager is a success, which club will he be managing in 2 years time?

Sorry but I was not comparing Kane, Son, Dier etc to any of the Saints team, my point was did the loss of just those 4 have such a catastrophic effect on the team. I am not so sure Broja did as he was in his toes back to Chelsea and Forster made more errors as the games went on and seemed happy to bench warm on 90k a week. IMO the only one we really missis Romeu

Ralph got some unbelievable results as well as some of the disasters. None of our players are anywhere near the quality of the Spurs players so how did Ralph do it? I would predict without him, we will just have disasters, as the team really isn't much good. Ralph got them playing well above their capacity at times. Against Brighton, we were absolutely awful.

We miss Romeu a lot but also Broja. He scored a few vital goals and he was a presence up front. He was strong and tall. He made a difference. Now we have lost those two, without a replacement.

Ralph had to be replaced he had run out of ideas & resorted to tinkering with an average bunch of players to try & get a result.
BUT !. none of us expected the club to replace him with a Championshop manager who looks more like a Sunday morning Pub Team manager.
The club was just drifting into the Championship under Ralph & needed a lift.
The hope was that bringing in a new manager would give the club the lift they needed but the appointment of NJ has had the opposite effect. He just doesn't inspire the confidence we need.
But I'm not sure there is a manager available that could turn our average squad into a worthy Premiership team.

I agree JWP should not be Captain.
On current form probably shouldn't even be in the team.
But, who else in that squad could Captain the team.
We have no leaders on or off the pitch.

"None of us expected the club to replace him with a Championship manager who looks more like a Sunday morning Pub Team manager"

We don't have ambitious owners, who are prepared to buy decent players and an ambitious manager to match. People failed to spot that our owners are cheapskates trying to make money for themselves and to buy other clubs not give us fans a quality team to cheer. They have appointed Jones because he is cheap and accepts having a cheaply assembled team.

Ask yourself this what decent manager would come to a club selling its best players year after year and buying only players under 20. It's happened consistently over the past few years, so the signs were there, that we weren't going to get anything better than Ralph. Good, ambitious managers want a club that will back them in the transfer market and show some ambition.

The appointment of Jones demonstrates why the discussion about whether we should sack Ralph was being had. If his replacement was Poch, Koeman, Howe or a top manager, there wouldn't have been any discussion. Some could see that the next appointment would probably be worse.
