Their success only leads uneducated people to make a link between nationality of owner (despite who they are referring to in the main being Canadian) and making comparisons that simply cannot exist.
It’s very easy to inject a good few million into a national league team and get them promoted. They essentially have a league 1 budget.
Do the same at Championship level and it’s a different ball game. Yet people can’t seem to differentiate. |  |

There have been quite a few teams in recent years who have come up from non league to the championship on a modest budget. Luton, Yeovil, Burton, Doncaster etc. Momentum is so important in football and when there’s a feel good factor around the club success usually follows. | |

They are deranged of course if that’s the mindset. To be the biggest club in Wales you need a record of seven premier league seasons and a major trophy. And to have a football DNA. And of course seasonal finishes in recent times as the best placed Welsh club. I’ll leave the repetitive beatings as an also ran.
Wrexham as it stands are NON LEAGUE.

All good times come to an end. Sir Elton John was the first at this exercise at Watford. It was more genuine for him being a local lad and he did not use football as a marketing exercise or for making documentaries. Owning Watford may have been more about getting a gong perhaps?
The US public will get bored with Wrexham in a few years if b not in the Premier league and if that happens before the Championship Reynolds and co will need a new vehicle. Getting past the Championship will need a lot of money to be certain.

Their story and Swans current one is poles apart.
Not sure if anyone except you has tried to make comparisons.
It is not the nationality of our owners most have a problem with.

Wrexham's long term potential will be in claiming back the Gog glory hunters who have long travelled to Liverpool or Manchester of a weekend rather than turn up at the Racecourse. There are nearly 700,000 people in North Wales with one professional club between them.
Do that successfully and there's no reason why they can't aim for the top flight. There's plenty of clubs with similar or smaller catchment areas who have done the same. |  |
