Adams and Armstrong both playing. We have managed to put out a team that looks ok, I think. Light in midfield, I assume Adam Armstrong will go into midfield.

Manning does look a liability.

Why isn’t dozie busting a gut to get a tap in there ffs. Great ball from Armstrong

If it wasnt that sad it would really be comical how Bednarek again blames everyone else around for him losging his man...
And you have to wonder if Manning really is better than Perraud...

Perraud is far better than manning I don’t get it

If we lose tells Adams and KWP we are in big trouble
RM needs to get some quality thru the door QUICKLY

He has just been booked. You can just see him doing something stupid now and getting a 2nd card.

Yes, needs to be replaced immediately by Perraud.

Yeah well he’s just been cautioned so hopefully will do that soon.
Still Edozie’s off now for that young lad that certainly has impressed when he’s been playing, so it’ll be interesting to see how this last 15 minutes will be

Always rates Peruad. Why anyone would play him as a centre half god only knows.

We are going to win this.

Well I think he was only played there in the cup, because RM clearly wanted to play a squad that he didn’t see as starting last weekend, and for the players we have left in the centre half spot, who’ll actually be playing, we’ve only got Bednerak, Stephens and Lyanco, so we always had to play someone outta position as a centre half in that game.

Yeah well for everyone who was involved in the squad today, along with Alcaraz and Smallbone (so only really ABK and Sulemana) we need to now keep hold of and not let go to any more of them! Whilst also bringing in a few more to help out in midfield and at the back.

Although tbf to the defence, I think all of KWP, Stephens and Bazunu had decent games, whilst Bednerak and Manning weren’t the worst, they certainly weren’t the best either. Still 7 points from our first 3 games is never a bad total and I don’t think any saints fans out there wouldn’t of taken that!

Great result and much better 2nd half, which the stats also back up.

We just need to stop the school boy errors (e.g Manning for their goal and Bazunu/Stephens messing around with it box and near gifting them an easy chance)

The 1st 11 is ok, even after all those that have left, but we don't have much quality on the bench now.

Still not sure how Manning gets ahead of Peraud ? That is one change I would make.

As I said manning looks to be a managers pet
There is always one, Ralph loved AM
Perraud should start and we need to really keep all we have now
Aribo can go and I guess sulemana too but the rest stay put

It doesn't matter. Perhaps Manning is a great character, is a motivator, there are probably reasons why he is playing, but it doesn't matter, we are top of the league and winning games.

We are top of the league, we haven't lost with 7 points. This is with all the uncertainty and challenges going on in the background. We won today, just as you say, away from home against a side who haven't lost at home for a year. We did this without Alcaraz, Downes, Smallbone and other additions. Players who were terrible last season under terrible managers are suddenly looking brilliant. I think we will only get better, we never give up and have powered to victory in 2 away games. The manager is a breath of fresh air, demanding, positive, straight talking. After last season, I think it's very promising personally.

There's an awful lot of negativity above. Game was on ESPN+ so I got to watch it.

I thought we looked like scoring a lot which is a huge improvement on last season. Our defending was poor at times and needs to be worked on, but with the full backs tucking in as extra midfielders it will take some time adjust. Shea Charles looked great for someone who's only played U21 football. I thought the possession was often with purpose rather than for the sake of it as some people had complained previously (this was the first game I've been able to watch).

Overall the team looks to be adjusting to the new style and was good at winning the ball back. I imagine they'll get better with time as the system becomes more instinctive and this looks like it could be a really enjoyable season.

As an aside, an US ex pats know of a way to watch all the saints games rather than only the ones shown on ESPN?

Not sure what some of you expect? We had no midfielders through injury or illness we just beat a team that never lose at home after being the better team 2nd half. Looks like we have a good un in Charles and the flying youngster looked class when he came on again. Only low point is I’m not entirely sure Manning us up to much.

Oh and Bazanu well done some great punches at the end.
Top of the league, enjoy it you miserable old cooonts

Couldn't agree more. Top of the league under adversity, more to come.🍺

And a good shout for Shea Charles who looked class.

Under adversity - What a plum.

Charles cost about 5 times the whole of the Plymouth squad cost. I bet Plymouth would like our kind of adversity !
