Stunning piece of individual skill and athleticism. Look at it again. The cross initially was behind him so he had to move away from goal to get to where the ball was going and then to get that high with that power with the ball behind him at speed took some doing. It’s far better than the Rooney effort for various reasons not least the perfect ball contact. And further out. A good game, not a 3-0 but again a demonstration of the importance of taking those chances. United doing well despite so many attempts to suggest otherwise. | |

Everytime I hear about timing and striking a ball well I think back to Max Thompson. Yes I know it wasn't overhead but it was a perfect strike. [Post edited 27 Nov 2023 14:17]
