Fair Game UK 00:12 - Mar 22 with 2130 views | colinallcars | Belated report of a letter in today's Times from Niall Couper of the above mentioned group. I am not aware of this body but I'm sure many of us are. Since the inception of the Prem, no less than 64 clubs have gone into administration and more than 50% of clubs in the top four divs are technically insolvent. Crikey O'Reilly.

This is the way to ensure survival, supporter owned and also with control. As silent partnerships mean some CEO screws it up down the line. Control and active control is important.

Fair Game UK on 17:16 - Mar 22 with 1286 views | OldPedro | Bottom line is football is bankrupt = players are paid far too much. If clubs had to be run as a normal business, they would not be paying players the money they currently pay them.

The thing is that the current owners or their finance providers actually own the tangible assets of the clubs . If fans want to own some of that they are going to have to pay for it . Its real stuff like land and buildings with real invoices to be paid arriving daily so working capital is required also . A restricted voting (because they have no financial skin in the game ) fan presence on the board is a more realistic objective IMO at least for the top four divisions .
