Well whisper it quietly but that possibly been one of our best halves this season.
What as been most pleasing is the tempo... we have played it so much quicker... the only down for me is the playing out. Sunderland are showing us how to do it. I don't think we press enough while teams are all over us
The team has played really well. The cobbled defence as held well... and the midfield of Morgan and Varane was very good.
Celar also getting more into it, and Madsen definitely as had his best half.... in all in a decent half.
Think though as we tire we might struggle more with replacements, not a lot on the bench.

Really good first half, you wouldn't think these two teams occupy polar opposite ends of the table. We're looking good across the midfield and have mustered a couple of half chances from dead balls. Chair's been a lot more direct today, hitting a couple of pearlers of crosses from out wide
Only slight worry is there's a bit of a chasm between Cook and Field with neither seemingly marking their striker. If Sunderland look to capitalise on that they could get some joy | |

Varane has been excellent and Madson has shown some great touches. Not physically strong but very composed on the ball. Morgan also doing well.
