Finally saw a win! 00:04 - Sep 1 with 8368 viewsjack10qpr

Wanted to see if anyone else has had such bad luck as me.

The last home win I saw, before today, was Leeds 4-0.

My partner and I had a baby in December 2024 so I missed all of our good run over the winter. I was also was in hospital a couple of times to boot. The games I have been to since Leeds:

L WBA 1-3
W Cambridge 2-1
D Plymouth 1-1
L Portsmouth 1-2
D Coventry 1-1
D Sunderland 0-0
L Middlesbrough 1-4

D Leeds 2-2
D Cardiff 0-0
D Bristol City 1-1
L Burnley 0-5
D Preston 1-1

12 matches
1 win (away)
7 draws
4 losses
11-21 total score
Points: 7/33

Home games I missed:

D Stoke 1-1
W Norwich 3-0
W Oxford 2-0
W Preston 2-1
W Watford 3-1
W Luton 2-1
L Sheff Wed 0-2
W Blackburn 2-1
W Derby 4-0
L Sheff Utd 1-2

10 matches
7 wins
1 draw
2 losses
20-9 total score
Points: 22/30

In the 22/23 season (Beale, Critchley, Ainsworth) I saw 3-0 home to Cardiff, missed 2-1 vs Wigan and saw every other home game that season, apart from Watford (the one we won).

A real sense that it’s me, isn’t it? I’m the problem.

Maybe you should take a few games in at Stamford Bridge?

My son’s first ever game was Wembley and he didn’t see another win until Hugill scored a brace against Sheffield Wednesday. We don’t get to too many games and being northerners most of these are away from home.
I think the count was 18 or 19 matches.

I took my son to Stoke at home for his first game a couple of years ago, we'd been on a run of scoring in 30+ games or something and that was our first game we'd failed to score in - including Dykes missing a penalty.

That goalless run went on for some time - at one point he'd seen more foul throws than Rangers goals as he proudly told people.

Blimey, I wish you'd admitted it was you before now.
I could have waited for you as you approached the ground and made sure you didn't get there.

I've had nearly a year a couple of times, once around the 2006/07 era when I had a Saturday job so had to miss a lot of games, then more recently the disastrous Critchley/Ainsworth era as the only game we won against Watford I had to miss!

That's some run.

A mate was over from New Zealand, one of the old ASB fraternity. Generally makes a trip back every few years, although am unsure what number trip this was.

He saw his first home win in 20 years on Saturday.

Partial to some cooking, with Nourry. Alternatively some voyeurism with the QPR academy.

My brother only gets to 2-3 Tottenham away games a year, and once managed to go 18 years without seeing an away win. Which is a long time to wait.

Fulham FC: It's the taking part that counts

I get to maybe 4-8 games a season, mostly away, as I live in Yorkshire.

I went to the 3-1 win at Preston on 7th March 2020 just before covid lockdowns started. I then attended 12 games without seeing a win (8 defeats and 4 draws) before seeing us win 2-1 at Blackburn on 3rd Feb 2024.

Last season, went to 8 games and saw 4 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses.

Didn't we go a calendar year in the Prem without an away win, that was tough going.

Not quite the same, but living in Nottingham I've attended every QPR away game there since 1986/87, apart from December 2018, the one we won.

I have the same losing record as you but I only went to the game in 1986/87. A textbook 1-0 defeat.

As for home matches, I've seen us win twice since October 2022 - I had a season ticket that season as well and missed the Watford win.

Our home record has been so atrocious the last couple of seasons I've seen just two wins.... Preston right at the end of season before last and Watford at home new years day last season.

My kids don't want to go anymore. That's how much damage it's caused.

I'm not saying we, or any team, have the right to win all the time but fk me, our home form has been abysmal by any standard.

I live in the West Country so generally go to about a match a month, I’ve always keep a record of games I’ve been to (sad I know). Since my son joined me, he is now 12, he has an unbelievable away record, 16 matches and only 1 loss, 8 wins and 7 draws, surely no QPR fan can have a better record than this!? The first loss was Derby last season.

My son’s Home record is fairly poor, only 4 wins in over 20 matches attended.

My son saw his first win since we beat Preston 2-1 on December 22nd.
Before then he hadn't seen a win since we beat Reading 4-0 Jan 29th 2022!!

Nearly snap - I was at the Preston 1-0 win and the 2-0 v Hull in December 2023 is the only other win I've seen in nearly 3 years.

I can hardly be arsed to go to matches nowadays, having been a regular since the late 80s. The 12.30 kick offs are partly to blame as I now refuse to go to them, but our home form has been abysmal and depressing for the most part. Let's hope that's about to change...
