A bit harsh on Kelvin Pat,given he was part of two successive promotions and had a player of the season award too. I know he had his faults and was poor in his first 2 seasons, but he was capable of match winning performances and that evening at Leeds in the championship promotion season was one of the best goalkeeping displays to win a match for Saints.

He was part of two successive promotions, but he played behind a far better defence.

I’d even put Dan Seaborne above our current rabble of CB’s.

Poll: Would you take going down to League 1 if it meant new owners coming in?

Super Kelv was selected in the Championship Team of the season 2011/12.

If Baz really has the potential to be a good keeper (& the jury is out on that) why have we so quickly shipped him out to a technical promotion rival?
Once again smacks of clueless management, or will it prove to be an inspired decision
As of now we dont know either way

True about the defences but he still played 80 odd games across 2 seasons as part of that defence therefore I can’t see how it can be said that he was one of our worst keepers. When playing behind an awful defence in the relegation to lg1 season he was player of the season I think. True he had plenty to do but nevertheless he kept scores down that season.
Someone mentioned Beasant, I’d defend him after the 95/96 season when he played a big part in keeping us up. Chris Woods on the other hand would be a contender, useless by the time he came to Saints
