Controversial perhaps, but I would let him go. Get some money in and find a Championship style defender, with experience preferably as that is the league we are going to be in for a fair few years I reckon. Not much point keeping him if someone offers good money as he has never shown that he is gonna be one of the greats.

I’d keep him until the end of the season but have a mass clear out of the band of failure brothers stinking up the club. That said, sports republic will only find worse players to replace them with.

Jam tomorrow

It's incredible that he's stayed here as long as he has without kicking up a fuss. Along with Jay Robinson, he's on the lowest wages in the entire squad - £7,500 per week, compared to £40,000 per week for McCarthy and £70,000 per week for Aribo. Imagine how he must feel when he sees players like that being paid so much more than he is. It must be terrible for team morale.

Burnley will pay him 4 times more and give him the opportunity to play in the Premier League again and get his England career back on track. I'm sure his father-in-law will advise him to jump at the chance. Good luck to him. He deserves better than he's getting here.

Of course, our team will suffer as he'll be replaced by Wood or Quarshie.

It hurts to say it but he's too good for SFC. Mediocre Championship players is our level now and he's better than that. His problem is that he knows it too, so his head hasn't been quite where it should be and I think that's affected him.

There's no point trying to keep him if he wants to go, it would only make matters worse. So he'll go and be replaced by someone who might be ok in 10 years time but is pretty sh1t now.

I think THB will go on to good things if he finds a good club, which might not be Burnley. They'll be back in the Championship next year, so he might decide against a move, but I can see him moving now and then again in the summer to a good PL side.

I don't think what you've googled is accurate. You don't sign a player for over £20m and pay him only 7.5k in wages. His agent would be sacked for agreeing to that.

What's the point of going to Burnley when they will be in this division next season?

So will we. (if we're lucky). But far more chance of getting promoted next year with Burnley.

I really cant see H-B going to Burnley. They will be relegated and if he has aspirations to play for England in the future (not that I think he is good enough) he will need to be in Premiership. He has no chance of making World Cup squad, so will probably see this season out and seek a move in Summer.

The E7.5k figure does seem low, especially after signing a contract in 2024. The table in link above, does say it is 'Estimated' and quotes £7.5k figure for the 2023 season in same link. I am sure there would have been a salary uplift when he signed in 2024.

That’s one of the most depressing things I’ve ever read.

No wonder we’re so shit.

That’s what 4 years of being run by Sport Republic will do to you.

You cannot reason a person out of something they were not reasoned into.

If he stays with us or goes to Burnley he’ll be playing championship football next season.

I can’t see him going in the next week but I’d imagine in the summer the club will be looking to sell and get some money in ready for another season in the championship.

West Ham aren't coming down, which is good for us next season, but not so good for Fernandes, as it's been reported that Real Madrid were going to snap him up at the end of the season. West Ham won't let him go now.

Nuno moving from Forest to West Ham may have sealed Forest's fate. They could very well end up replacing West Ham in the bottom 3.
