He was simply appeasing his voter base. The Greens and Corbyn’s lot will put serious pressure on him in the next election as they are pretty much The Gaza Parties.

I had the misfortune of working there for a year. I never took to Shepherd's Bush at all.
Before that I used to run 3 miles to work every morning through the 3 parks (Hyde, Green, St James) running along the graffitied Grand Union towpath with its druggies and tramps was a bit of a come down after that.
No idea what The Bush was like in its heyday but the then newly built Westgate shopping centre seemed to attract a lot of feral yoof into W12. No I did not enjoy those days at all.

White City stadium has a very rich history Many great boxing fights staged there as well as the greyhound racing and pop concerts too. I once met the ex manager of the place many years ago . He went to live in Powys ... too much pressure from organised crime.

It is indeed. Unrecognisable from the London of 20-30 years ago. Whole boroughs have changed beyond all recognition under the deluge of mass immigration and not for the better. The Islington set still yap on over their Matchas on Upper St about what a great job old king Khan is doing. These folk never leave their cosy liberal metropolitan bubbles which is easy to do if you get taxis everywhere, kids attend private schools, Ocado deliver your shopping and you mostly work from home. You want to see the real London get a few night-buses around the East End or South London you'll soon be wishing you had a stab vest on.

I've lived in London since the late 90s and the idea that it's some lawless hole is absolute guff that Farage and his ilk want you to believe. A stab vest is definitely not required in the East End - I don't don one when I have to go the supermarket..
While we're at it, you think Khan is doing a crp job ? I see otherwise (and to reiterate, I live here !) - his blustering bulb of a predecessor (remember him ?) was the one that really took the cake....

I don't live in London. I visit probably about 6 times a year for work an pleasure.
Last month I spent a week working in Tower Hamlets, contrary to some recent contributions. I enjoyed bacon, went to a few local pubs and bought alcohol in "Bangla Town". I saw no more deprivation and anti social behaviour than in Swansea. In fact I felt considerably safer than the top end of High Street.
London isn't perfect, but it is the greatest city in the world.
There's a reason he keeps getting elected. And it's obviously not because the 15% Muslim population exclusively vote for him.
Perhaps the people who live there have more experience of what London life is like than those watching GB News do. Perish the thought.

I've mentioned this before that we went there back in May and made the mistake of staying in Waterloo, Never again.
Tower Bridge and O2 area was fine and Greenwich probably is well, we should have probably stayed there.
