Seems they are trying to eradicate the tactical timeout where the goalkeeper goes down feigning injury and then unlike an outfield player get to stay on the field
The proposal is that if a keeper goes down, his team coach gets 10 seconds to nominate an outfield player to go off for the 60 second wait, if they take longer than 10 seconds to decide then the team captain is automatically selected to be the one going off.
Personally I think that it's a good ideaI'm sick of seeing goalkeepers continually falling over everytime they catch the ball and also getting the physio on when it's clear there is nothing wrong with them |  |

I'm never keen on adding new laws. It should be a simple game.
However, to stop the likes of Eddie Howe teams using every trick to either gain an advantage or waste time, then this sort of change would see that keepers very rarely actually need the magic sponge !
Sporting integrity seems to have been consigned to the waste bin of time, alongside the attitude that you should never show the opposition that the last tackle actually hurt!
