I became aware of this place d from a " urban Explorer" chanel on YouTube. He went there explained where it was located showed the access route and lack if security about June 26. He was pretty proud of himself. There was another Welsh " explorer " .
A few months later the place was burned down by four local youths looking for relvance in otherwise empty lives.

They are still locked up and face jail terms. Derelict does not mean worthless. What make kids want to burn down old building. A chapel was burned in Port Talbot . Several media outlets made fake claims it was by Muslims. Three lads must be very upset and the fourth who saw the YouTube video. Swansea jail is so nice this time of year.

I had watched and video and then when I heard the place had burnt down my first thought was was it because of the video.
It's a pity another grand building in the upper Vale of Neath gone, it was designed by the same guy that did Buckingham Palace. |  |

No two Mushers, one Bassey and one Black (for people not from the Streets that 2 Swansea people, 1 Cardiff person and 1 Neath person) apparently went up to God's country and set a national treasure on fire, jealousy is a terrible thing, they probably don't see wealthy homes from where they are from. | |

This arson was made in Wales sadly facilitated by " intelligence" from " urban explorers" who must have known this dangers of identifying derelict building without security.
Some poster bring politics in to the threat where it s does not belong. That's what flag wavers do I suppose plus is the resident agitator.
It is probably more due to the urban mindset where youths are deterred from mindless arson by dogs guards and cameras. I bet they are all bricking it now. This was not an old barn. [Post edited 23 Sep 18:59]

Youngsters are bored easy these days , take them away from their phones and they are lost or please look at me to be liked , I really need my phone now .
Daily I come across great and polite kids in my place of work , and given a few show offs sometimes they are OK and no trouble .
Adults are just as annoying too with their incessant use of phones .
Building a go cart from an old pram frame or exploring the local area and Woods was an experince growing up , do not drink that pond water mind was my instruction .
