This bunch of charletans currently in charge of the country have deemed it necessary to send out a task force to the Saudi to help them defend themselves againgst rising Houthi attacks dispite them maintaining approximately 257,000 active military personnel, supported by a well-equipped air force, navy, and ground forces, with a defense budget of around $78–$80 billion ,maybe this is a way of them having another country pay for training which we apparantly can no longer afford.
I see Jacob slack jawed Rees Mogg is trying to instill a sense of patrotic pride in the countrys citizens by telling us that we should take up arms againgst whom ever , even if some of us have to die , “It is not impossible that in the next few years we may face a war. If that happens, we will need people who want to join the armed services and go out and do their duty. There may even be circumstances where people have to die to save their country, as seen in wars before.”

“That is something that makes a country survive. If people aren’t willing to do their duty, then the country will be taken over by another country. This is partly why Ancient Rome fell. Duty is a noble thing, and it is not always easy, but it is the right thing to do.”

Someone once described him as "a haunted Victorian pencil covered in human skin"

I take it he'll be signing his 6 kids up for active service then?

No, thought not...

I think you’ll have a lot of trouble mustering a defence of Weasley little gits like him and Westminster. Why would you risk your life or your children’s to protect those in society who demonise the majority of us common sense thinking folk.

Absolute joke, 1,200 illegal migrants have entered the U.K in the last two days and people may be expected to fight for a country that cannot even be bothered to defend its own borders.

Add to that the governments obvious dislike for free speech. And add further the obvious dislike by the left for the Union Jack flag.

Fighting for a country that cannot defend its own borders, dislikes free speech and has proven contempt for its own flag, aye really makes you want to fight NOT!!!!

Rome fell for several reasons, one was the fact they were war mongering conquerors who treated no Romans like dirt which obvioulsy gave rise to quite a lot of dislike amongst other "tribes"
Another was the way their elites behaved which caused problems internally, the poor (the mob really didn't like it, eventually) and then there were the economic problems caused by an over reliance on slaves and people really didn't want to join the military either.

If I summarise that as,
1 Invasions from outside forces
2 Economic troubles
3 Government corruption and political instability and then ask, which modern countries does this remind you of?

Obvioulsy we haven't been invaded by a marauding army and any attacks on us are p[roxy attacks or cyber attacks but the UK, doesn't it fit the bill?

Not just the UK either.

Battle of Britain RAF hero pilots stopped the Luftwaffe getting total controi of the UK .

Agree they bombed the heart out of London , Coventry and even Jackland , but a fight was made to protect our borders .

How sad a few rubber dinghies are welcomed now with red carpet treatment .

NATO really needs to raise its game , The Don is fed up of us now and again made threats .

Reporting Xi The Chinese Leaders is over The Pond now talking , red carpet and all the fanfare available .

Meanwhile Ed Miliband has just given £88 million to Hamas. The money has been taken off the UK defence budget. Ed even had a meeting with the leaders of Hamas this week, presumably to discuss how much of that £88million will be refunded in cash or untraceable bitcoin.

Do you have any evidence for that claim?

Money is being sent to Gaza, as reported,

Well it's not Hamas,

While I agree there was (and maybe still is) a chance of some of that money going to Hamas, that is not it's stated delivery point. The government is not sending money directly to Hamas.

We should not be giving anyone that amount of money when our NHS , for example, is not fit for purpose

On that point I entirely agree. When we can't afford to improve our own public services no government should be sending any money abroad.
