| Atmosphere at the Vitality Stadium. 14:49 - Oct 19 with 1090 views | Bridders2 | I got treated to a hospitality/ticket at the Bournemouth v Sunderland game yesterday, and have to say, considering it was a must win for both teams, the atmosphere was pretty dire. Not much noise from the main Bournemouth end, and generally around the ground. There was probably 1500 Sunderland fans who were louder, but not much. On a good day at SMS we are miles above Bournemouth in terms of noise and atmosphere. | |

It's not a football town, and find it strange they are looking at increasing capacity to circa 20k (?). Not that ambitious is it - why not move to a new stadium cos of the existing Dean Ct restrictions with all of this "success" and plaudits they have been getting ? They are doing ok at the moment, well got their 1st win of the season on Saturday and are now in Europe, but will they maintain those attendances when it starts to go t1ts up?

I think those in Bournemouth are more nimby than us and finding somewhere to plonk a big football stadium and not harm either the environment or annoy the potential local residents is even harder than it was down here

I think 20,000 is ambitious for them. They will probably fill it in the Prem, but when they are back to their natural home of Division 3, their current capacity would have been more than enough.
