| Away end at Wolves 13:21 - Oct 21 with 940 views | PatfromPoole | For my sins, while doing errands last night, I listened to most of Wolves v Pompey on Solent. Pompey fans sounded pretty loud, but then I noticed seeing footage from the game that they put them in the small corner bit behind the goal rather than on the side. A much smaller section, usually reserved for smaller clubs like Boscombe and Pompey 😂, but much better to get some noise going. We are at Wolves quite soon, I dare say that as we are massive they will put us in the shitty side section again. | |

If you think that's bad - I watched the game on a stream! To be honest, the 1st half was utter dross - terrible game by both sides. The 2nd half wasn't much better. Thought Wolves had won it - only for the inbreds to score late on, 1-1. Today I have repented by standing naked in my bathroom all morning and repeatedly lashing my back with razor-sharp leersia reeds from the Middle East which have cut me open no end, blood everywhere, lots of it.

| Away end at Wolves on 14:54 - Oct 21 with 774 views | TimSaint | It's because they only took the smaller allocation. Some of them blurting out on social media that they sold out another away game - which apparently was moved from an earlier round of games. The bigger allocation is at least 3k. They said on the midweek equivalent to Soccer Saturday last night that Wolves and Pompey hadn't played each other for more that 16 years - so you have thought the Blue Few would have taken far more. They were 2k short of capacity the other week at home to Sheffield United - blaming the deficit on the away fans, despite the empty seats all around the ground. I remember reading some social media argument between a Saint and a Skate at the end of last season. They were saying that they sold out away to Preston, despite taking less than 2,500. Saint was saying we took 5,000, so how could the Skates sell out if they took half of our numbers ? They ended admitting the Skates only took a smaller allocation. | |

The smaller allocation is a much better place to be in the ground though, both for atmosphere and view. I bloody hate that side stand; it is my least favourite away end in the whole country, more so than West Ham and Newcastle.

Could not agree more. Though will doubtless go, not least as I am at a gig in Birmingham the night before the game.
