I was behind the goal ( well to the side) and had a good view of the penalty and Barry’s second goal.Neither were blatant IMO. It would have been very harsh for either to be given. Had they been in the championship, they wouldn’t have been given a second thought. | | | |

I wouldn’t expect you to say anything less  . If you had all 3 go against you I’m sure you would feel aggrieved.
However the hair pulling was blatant in the first half. The 2nd penalty was on the edge of the area . I will be honest I don’t understand the hand ball law anymore. For the 2nd penalty appeal the Everton defender ends up landing on the ball with his hands and knocks it a couple times. Yet no one seems interested in that. Your 2nd goal was def hand ball he patted it in but it’s not given. | |

Tarkovski plays on the edge every single game and I’m just waiting for a VAR decision to send him off sometime soon, probably at the derby.
What you’re saying though is all that’s wrong with VAR, it’s supposed to intervene on clear and obvious errors not dissect every single challenge and bit of play. On another day all those decisions get given along by someone else on VAR along with a load more that neither you, me or the pundits have picked up especially if it’s refs like England, Kavanagh etc.
The different in last nights game and the cup game in the week was massive, same result, but the non VAR game was a million times more enjoyable. | | | |
