ok night night Richard

When Eyre was here, the Observer continued to treat Dale fans like imbeciles with their Eyre propaganda.

442Dale was completely the opposite, so you need to think again sunshine.

When the clueless Eyre left he said he was considering a whole host of offers in football. So what has happened to him? He's certainly not back at City u12 s. He should have gone when he returned virtually fook all from October. The Preston win was the falsest of dawns.

I think he meant from (BBC radio) football (shows).

Well, one anyway.

Even though we've probably all seen City far more than others have watched Dale this season, you wouldn't catch anyone pulling the massive club to bits in posts on their messageboard.

Instead I'll do it here.

They've only got one full back who can actually defend (Zabaleta), Kolarov did once make a tackle as well as take free kicks presumably?

If they can't play the first choice partnership at centre half (that really is Joleon Lescott people) they're reduced to playing the Balkesteinesque Savic.

Barry, De Jong, Milner, Pollock, Lomas, McNab. Pick any two of the above, pass the ball sideways.

Johnson. He looks dead happy to be there and criticised by his boss all the time. Criticised for being the only proper winger at the Etihad since SWP decided to relocate to Loftus Road, Hobbiton.

Yaya Toure. He's back to wandering down more cul de sacs than a postman, but we all know it's that he had to go and play for his country. How selfish.

David Silva. Did he get a bottle of Anonymous for Christmas?

Aguero. Best striker ever. Sometimes. Or as good as Suarez at least. Must have scored at least 30 this season, no need to check. Must have.

Dzeko. After 26 goals in his first 5 games, it's been an effortless transition into resembling a lamppost. An unlit one. Obviously.

Balotelli. Popular with his colleagues, effort in every game, no trouble whatsoever and the consummate pro. I've yet to actually see him run. Does he?

Tevez. Hate him.

Sorry, love him.

Or hate him.

Welcome to Manchester.

Ha ha, brilliant.

I'll have to print this off for my City mate. His head will explode!

City, shity, Who cares about them? Not me. We are Dale (soon in division2), forget this season. New start, clean slate.
I will be going to the match on Tuesday expecting nothing. Hope to see some goals even if they are against us. But knowing Dale we will put up a good fight even though nothing to play for.
Next season will be a different story. It will be John Coleman's team and we can start with new optimism. Roll on August!

OP - Seeing as City have spent hundreds of millions of pounds assembling a squad that will win nothing this year, surely you should be questioning your own team's manager, not the fraudster/spin doctor/con man that came to Rochdale from City pretending to be one?

As Mancini's not up to the job, surely you would support the appointment of Steve Eyre as City's next manager?

Theres just no point even trying to raise a debate with this moron, he ignores the blind fact in an attempt to paper over the cracks in his argument, if you want to talk about bad performances, believe me theres plenty to pick from Eyre's reign: Oldham (a), Stevenage (a), Exeter (a), Leyton O (H), of course Bradford, shall i go on?

As for the current squad, you are forgetting the fact that Beech sent half of Eyre's pathetic attempts of league one players packing back to their parent clubs, lets list them: Benali, Kean, Barnes-Homer, Bergkamp, Balkestein, Trotman, Bunn, Twaddle, Hackney, need i go on'?

The football is a 100x better under JC, under eyre, yes the passing was there, but we'd simply huff and puff and have no real cutting edge and no end product, at least we're capable of scoring under JC, give me JC era over the Eyre one anytime.

Eyre's great plan worked real well to sign full-backs to play centre half, strikers to play on the wing and not sign a target man when one was needed.

Go get back on your knees for stevie errrrr.

Ronnie Moore would of kept you lot up, Coleman's a good manager but he hasn't got the contacts or experience for this league.

Good post, sweetcorn, but Twaddle and Hackney are still somewhere at the club, while Trotman and Kean had already gone while Eyre was here.

Steve Eyre got sacked for a reason we'd of seen a worsened result against some of these teams if we'd of kept him incharge Huddersfield Town would of been bad if we never appointed Coleman before then that's one example but its gonna take time to fix what Keith Hill took and What Steve Eyre has done the damage is done people need to stop living in the past but get behind the players they need our support Tuesday night more than ever

That's wrong, he wasn't even at the club then. Daniel Bogdanovich was our number 19 then and was our MOTM against Preston so I'm assuming its a computer glitch, although I don't remember him being player of the month either.

Genius post, absolutely superb!

However, to LoveCity, your backing of Steve Eyre is completely blind. How many games have you seen us in this season? I genuinely don't know if you've barely seen us or seen a lot so that's why I'm asking.

Anyway, Steve Eyre signings:

Permanent:

Ashley Grimes (11 goals in 41 appearances and goes missing in games, is petulant and looks lazy)

Andrew Tutte (His best signing by some distance but has still only started 28 games through selection choices)

Stephen Jordan (Not been impressive at all and is nowhere near the side now)

David Lucas (Signed as a backup and GK coach but because Eyre's other GK signing was awful, he's had to be relied on and has played 19 games)

Paul Marshall (Non-contract terms and played just EIGHT minutes of football)

Marc Twaddle (Signed on decent money, two year deal and has played, wait for it, 27 minutes in the league, and ONE JPT match, well done Steve, oh and TWO public bust ups with him)

Neal Trotman (Such a disastrous signing that we got rid of him while on a two year contract on decent money)

Loans:

Pim Balkestein (Poor, at both full back and centre back)

Matthew Barnes-Homer (Such a bizarre and awful signings who will go down as one of our worst ever more than likely)

David Ball (First spell was decent, second spell was awful, really awful)

Ahmad Benali ("Hiya Steve, it's Andy over at City, can you do me a massive favour? No, not that again, I was drunk, it meant nothing, I mean with regards to a player, Ahmad Benali. He's never gonna get anywhere here really, can you take him on a window to window loan just to have him train with some lower league cloggers?" Yeah no worries mate, I've only loaned 35 loan players so far so got plenty of room for someone else to not play for us, no problems mate, anything for a City man, I still love you all, I'll ring back soon for some more ideas for City rejects I can sign in a bit, cya pal"

Roland Bergkamp (Never so much as saw him play before signing him, he was like a statue, never won a header in the month he was here and was another wasted loan)

Harry Bunn (Hiya, Harry, it's Daddykins, fancy playing for us boy?) Distinctly average for us AND played out of position.

Nathan Eccleston (One debut goal, then did nothing at all)

Stephen Darby (His best loan signing probably, even if he's not played as much as he could have)

Jake Kean (Awful for us, only signed a couple of days before the season started, should have been sorted a lot earlier!)

Dean Holden (Signed as a last minute replacement for Trotman and has done ok but is the wrong side of 30 and probably going to get released)

Even writing that is grim, reading it back is having me reach for the Whyte & Mackay!

All those signings yet he didn't see the turn of the year!

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

That is painful to read but pretty spot on.

Eyre was not cut out to be a manager or a judge of player. That is it really. Coleman has proved he is both but he has been unable to motivate the current shower. That is why so many have to go. There is no-one I would be really sad to lose. He needs to look them in the eye and find out who is good enough and prepared to run through brick walls for him. Those that aren't should be moved on, whether under contract or not.
