I’m not convinced it would be a great move for Butland.

He’d be better off at Leeds or Villa, both properly big clubs where he would probably be first choice.

Poll: Would you take going down to League 1 if it meant new owners coming in?

I think he is better than anyone we have at the moment, none have been completely convincing in the past two season

Is he all that though? He’s been in the Championship for two seasons and I’m not aware of anybody in the Prem having bid big money for him.

I like both McCarthy and Gunn. Yes, they have both made the odd mistake, but that’s almost inevitable when you have as much action in a game as a bottom-half team’s goalkeeper will invariably have.

Not so sure .Nick

Butland made loads of terrible mistakes for Stoke in the last 2 seasons

I would be amazed if this were true.

Butlands reputation is in tatters and been error prone. I think when Stoke got relegated he assumed he would be snapped up. Instead hes been at the wrong end of the championship. Maybe his focus has not been what it should be.

I would keep McCarthy personally - he is pretty solid and lets be honest has done well with whats in front of him. I think a loan for Gunn would be good. Surely

Poll: Has the Ross Stewart deal already paid off as Nick says?
