This wasn’t a thing in the 1983/84 season, if memory serves.
I think my first live experience of being at a Saints Friday night game was 1991/92, with Ruddock making a dull game more memorable by running 70 yards to headbutt Craig Short of Notts County.
Thereafter, I fear Friday night games have been an utter disaster for me to attend (Scousers, Leicester, Boscombe…..🙄).

Not very sure about stats for Friday night games but I do love watching matches under the floodlights.
I used to like playing under floodlights as well but at my level that was a rare occurrence. The ball always seems to move a little quicker over the ground, presumably because of the dew on the grass. |  | | |
