Brentford away 14:29 - Apr 19 with 1091 viewsSaintsforeverj

Anyone travelling to Brentford by train? On the 7th May, timetables are showing engineering works taking place from Waterloo to Brentford and Waterloo to Kew Bridge. These bus replacements are taking over an hour to get there according to timetable. The busses will also be heaving. There are a few underground stations about 20 minutes walk away. So in terms of getting advance tickets and train times, anyone going, how are you going to do it?

Sod the replacement bus. Just get train to Waterloo, then tube to Acton, Chiswick Park or Gunnersbury.

Thanks guys, just read that Gunnersbury is closed for an hour after the game. Was trying to save a few quid on going direct to an overground station but not worth it with all the bus replacements.

Might be worth looking at Southampton to Reading/Reading to Ealing Broadway. Drinks there then tube or Uber the two miles to the ground. Not going into London used to be the cheaper train option when I’d head down to Southampton from West London bitd and there isn’t much in the way of pubs right next to the ground.

Jam tomorrow
