When Ings was here we were desperate for a decent striking partner for him and to have an option when he was injured but we got Adams. When he left we had two inadequate strikers in Adams and Armstrong. It was blindingly obvious neither were PL standard and both needed to be replaced. Both were apparently on their way in the summer but all we got was Mara who looks even worse than Adams and Armstrong
Now Sports Republic have bought a 30 year old winger who’s been playing in Croatia and China/South Korea for the last 7 years and seem now odds on to buy Apkom from Middlesbrough. How are these two any different to signing Adams and Armstrong?
This has to raise serious questions about our ownership. They appoint a manager who is vastly inexperienced and clearly out of his depth and make a string of very poor signings. Who is making these decisions because they need to go now. |  | | |  |

Good point about Danny Ings.
He has stayed fairly injury free at Villa.
BUT, that is because he's not actually played many minutes.
Could count on one hand how many full games he's played.
His body could not stand up to playing 2 games a week, every week.
I see he was named captain for Villa against Stevenage & got pulled off after 72 mins. | | | |
