VAR official dropped for tonight’s Merseyside derby on 14:29 - Feb 13 with 812 views | Berber | Do the VAR refs actually draw the lines? Surely they have proper technicians to g do o that? If not, why not? Lee Mason was prone to make very dodgy decisions anyway, so requiring him to be a master of the technology as well is a bit silly.

Drawing line is stupid per se. We're so used to it, it seems normal. It's not. It's completely mad that a fast flowing game like football should involve this sort of primary school geometry.

Yeah they draw the lines through a certain tech they have access to, but one was missed due to the camera angle and the other due to the pressure after how long the first decision took, which is why there were mess ups in the Brighton and Arsenal games

And they weren’t even the worst VAR decisions, the diving save by the Westham defender beats them.

VAR apologists try to argue ‚it’s not VAR, it’s the officials‘ It’s the whole system - both together. It hasn’t improved football. It improves some decision-making, it makes its own stupid decisions, and it’s removed the drama from almost every goal. It should be binned. But too many contracts and too much £££ now involved.

Agree. You can't even celebrate a goal nowadays until some dinlo decides a bootlace has deemed the player offside. Either that or some dork 'forgets' to draw lines which, I assume, is basic and standard procedure for a VAR scrutiny? Chinese betting Companies will be having a word in the ear with VAR officials next & influencing games... if they aren't already.
