You say that but I think that’s a fair amount, as I hoped he’d get an 11 game one (so out for the rest of the season) but as long as the FA don’t let him off if they appeal it, and actually keep to it, then I think that’s a perfectly fair amount and hopefully will be the start of things changing around referee abuse/respect
surely a lot of abuse the refs recieve could be cured by themselves, just send them off, players would soon get the message and i think miking them up would be a good thing perhaps the players hearing themselves being heard by everyone being dick+heads would shut them up

Ok but you’ve got two issues there. As firstly refs can’t show all these cards for dissent as the prem would demote them down to the championship/EFL, as the prem is there as an entertainment industry, not a proper sport these days. Meaning that loads of players getting sent off for dissent would ruin a bit of the entertainment for many, and therefore the league would loose money. As I can tell you for a fact that refs are told not to, unless they’re getting called something derogatory or their being blatantly dissentful
And secondly they don’t use mikes as there’s soo much swearing in the prem, and even some refs do it themselves (but in a less direct and personal way) so you’d hear all sorts and kids wouldn’t be allowed to watch etc… which again looses the league fans and most importantly, money!
As trust me, I’d there was a fair way of doing it and the refs at the top actually could do it without having to worry about loosing their jobs, then they’d of done it by now

you raise valid points but how many games would it take for players to behave not many id have thought, owners soon get fed up with there employees not being on the pitch, people who run the game just need to hang tough for a few weeks.Fulham being fined 40000 for failing to control there employees, joke its just chump change, fine them 5 million i guarantee the players will be made to behave by there employers.

Yeah I don’t disagree with that, but the issue would be that the league won’t do that because more players would just go to other leagues and people and owners would loose interest in it all, meaning they’d make less money. As look I’d LOVE to see the refs and officials actually starts getting the levels of respect they deserve, but unfortunately it’s not gonna happen any time soon and if it was to happen it would require all the major leagues as well as FIFA, UEFA, etc… all to be on board with it and all do the exact same. But unfortunately I just don’t see that happening any time soon, as yeah the refs may have all the power for those 90 minutes, but before and after that, they’ve got just about as much as either of us do over what happens next and addressing these issues

players wouldnt go to other leagues, premier league is where the money is,but youre right nothing will change sick of it

Yeah but that’s the whole point of what the leagues worried about, that they’ll loose money and interest if this all starts to happen and then the players will join the other leagues as they will then have the money and the prem won’t. As it’s gonna require everyone to help for anything to change
