Echo what everyone else says, great entertainment, made all the better without VAR.
Knowing that unless linesman’s flag was up for offside, we could celebrate the goals, and knowing that when a penalty is awarded it will not be overturned.
Saints great going forward, but woeful at the back, but I’m sure that will be addressed, a good defensive midfield player would help.
For those who suggested Russell Martin’s possession based style of game would be boring, they couldn’t be more wrong, yes we play it around at the back, and backwards sometimes, but none of the endless playing from one full back across to other and back again like we’ve seen before, but patient play waiting for the right ball forward.

Brilliant entertainment and it feels like football matches as it should be. If I wanted to be picky you have to wonder why for so many seasons now we have not resolved the defence and clearly we won't go up conceding goals as easily as that (and the Friday night against Leicester when it comes - what could possibly go wrong?) but I am happy with the sheer joy of seeing goals and something to cheer about. | | | |

With Bazunu, Stephens and Bednarek playing we'll struggle irrespective, they're not good enough, their positional awareness is non existent and its hard to imagine we'll always score 4, but you can bet your bollocks to a barn dance we'll always look like conceding 4 with those absolute clowns playing. |  |

How can you blame Bazunu for any of those goals though? As none of them were his fault, and as we’ve said on other threads, unless you’ve got Neuer, Couture, Buffon etc… in goal then no keeper would be saving any of these 4 goals, let alone one that would be playing for us in the championship!

Rubbish. Did you see his parry for the disallowed goal? He made one save so 5 conceded from 6 shots on target this season.He’s awful and I think it’s our biggest problem | |
