Ipswich have gone 4 games without a win; Saints 17 games without a defeat. I'd say it looks very likely that Saints will finish above Ipswich.

I always believed we would catch Ipswich. They are starting to drop points now, as I expected after heavy fixture list recently.
They will also miss Hirst as well, who is out for a while now as well.

The team have done superb to get within 3 points of Ipswich .
If we played them now at home I very much doubt they would win , and how frustrating are those late equalisers at Huddersfield and Watford ? Even if we had held out on one of them .
Win at fierce Ipswich rivals Norwich on Monday and Stoke to do us a favour and beat Ipswich and all of a sudden we are 2 nd at the start of the year .
However we could quite as easily be 6 points behind if results don’t go our way .
