I guess that it's not just the players that don't want to get injured and scupper a move. We don't want them to get injured and then they will be stuck here on the treatment table. Well if they can get on the treatment table now Lallana is here that is.
I think the frustrating thing is that in the last few years our players have been in high demand so when they want to move we had suitors lining up.

I love the way that people twist a story to suit their own narrative. given that we need to start raking in money from those players that cost us a big transfer fee and are on big wages, so we can keep investing on our squad, it makes sense that we don't sell someone who is about to leave.
If Bella- Kotchap played tomorrow and broke a leg, everyone would be berating the manager for playing him and that has now scuppered raking in £10 million and getting his wages off the books.
So not playing them suits the club as much as the player, both have nothing to gain and everything to lose |  |

You can break a leg training. JWP gave everything and played games for Saints even when he knew he was leaving. RM should have said it isn’t a choice whether a player plays or not and he wouldn’t accept it in any circumstances. That’s all he needed to say. To play for Saints should be an honour. Choice isn’t an option. | |
