Is this the 'corporate tickets' at play or a broken down coach ?

Actually is this 'corporate tickets' sham actually real ?

There were about 6 dotted around in rows near to me. Nothing too significant.

I saw the picture of a whole block that was empty (didn't notice on day). This just didn't make sense, and suggests it was corporate as they were all together ?

I have no objection to sponsors getting some tickets, given the investment in the club, but it is frustrating to see empty blocks of seats at games officially sold out. if the blocks are Sponsor allocations, it would help if they handed back any tickets not needed. I am sure there are many saints fans that would welcome a ticket, even at very short notice.

If Sponsors are wasting tickets, then the club needs to have a serious conversation with them.

On a separate note, I worked for a large corporate in London, and we had corporate/hospitality tickets for Arsenal. These were were offered to clients who also regularly failed to use them or turn up.

And clients are offered tickets, who perhaps don't support that team? Hence an empty block at Norwich away. If you are a Celtic fan working for P and O, and are given a ticket for Norwich - Saints, you wouldn't bother to get up at 5am to get there would you.

As I said in another thread, and nobody seems bothered, fans should be furious about what is going on. How many non Saints fans will be in the away end for the derby, in place of loyal Saints fans desperate for a ticket?

Basically if you work for money of the sponsors, and perhaps mighy support another team you will often be given tickets. They don't bother turning up for games like Saints Norwich. But no doubt they will fancy enjoying the derby as a.neutral.

Anyone angry or don't care? Should an article be written about this Nick? It's not right that random fans get a ticket just because they work for one of the sponsors and most of the time don't even bother to turn up.

Ive seen the picture and again it is strange a gap in the crowd with a little square of perhaps 50 or so empty seats.

As tickets are not sold en bloc to coach companies or individuals who want to run a coach etc its not a broken down coach or if it is then its happening every week so they need to change their coach company.

I don't know why, but for every away game there is a blocked out number of seats empty, this has never been the case before

It's a block of seats we keep by for all the managers we have sacked in the last 10 years.

"I don't know why, but for every away game there is a blocked out number of seats empty."

It will be the same at Fratton Park, even though it's officially sold out. Whatever the ticket office is doing this season is clearly causing a problem. It doesn't seem to be happening at other clubs as you don't see an empty block in the middle of the away fans at St Mary's.

I'm sure there will be photos of the empty block all over the internet after the Pompey game, and, especially if they lose, it will be the major talking point.

Maybe you could write an article about this problem on the homepage and ask the ticket office to release the tickets in that block for the derby game?

I wonder if this answers that question?

"This collaboration marks P&O Cruises’ first venture into sports sponsorship and will provide exclusive benefits and experiences to P&O Cruises guests and Southampton FC members and fans. Perks include special cruise offers, match tickets, meet-and-greet events and onboard coaching sessions."

The captain sensible in me would say, surely the ticket manager has a deadline for these corporates to take their tickets. Any ticekts not used should then be put on sale to fans at least three days before the game.

I do hope away fans arent being mugged of heavilty for the pompey match, with plastic corporates taking loads of tickets.

It is almost certainly corporate tickets (P&O) at most away games there is a small block and as the game nears KO fans move from other areas so it does not look so bad

Definitely seems to coincide with the P&O sponsorship and these blocks suddenly appearing at away games.

Not sure anyone can begrudge them some tickets at home games, but a few hundred in a crowd of 32k is barely noticeable, the same number in a crowd of 2k is very obvious and a p*sstake

I'm sure Mr. Parsons will be happy to go into detail at the next Fans' Forum about how much P & O Cruises are paying for this privilege.....

Don't be silly that's not what the fans forum is for, it's for questions on hot dogs, beer, explaining FFP, stadium expansion that doesn't need to happen, and the womens team, as well as listing how long you've been a season ticket holder for.

Why would anyone bring up things like ticket allocations, corporate tickets, the way they've destroyed the atmosphere at st mary's and the bubble?

Easy on the question marks.

I get it, I made a mistake and stand corrected. it changed in July, when they became front of shirt.

They won't use the seats - they'll be left empty - the same as at previous away games.
There's probably a contractual obligation involved. Whoever signed up to it should have had more common sense.

I agree, there probably is a contractual agreement in there. It shouldn't stop them being released back to fans, if managed properly.

When my company had Arsenal (Corporate) seats for home games only, we always knew who was using what seat. Admittedly, we only had 10. We also ensured one of our employees attended as well, to avoid any issues, that could come back and damage company reputation.

Thing is, how is it being policed that the seats which (assuming it is them) P & O have access to are for the exclusive use of Saints fans?

I am fully aware that cruise customers are not your typical football hooligan, but is there not a hypothetical scenario here whereby some of these tickets could get in the wrong hands, and then a situation requiring dibble input ensues?
