| Saints Announce Signing Of New Striker on 22:46 - Feb 2 with 718 views | Southamptonfan | I am Sports Republic biggest critics. But I also say what I see, good or bad. I don't think his stats are too bad at all. 30 goals in 87 caps for his country, he has played in world cups, he has played in top leagues, including for Feyenoord who play in the top league of the Netherlands. He is tall, strong, scores a lot of headers and will hold the ball up to release more space for Sciensa, Azaz and Fellows. He isn't a young, potential player, he has experience in mostly the top leagues of 6 different countries. We shall see. | |

| Saints Announce Signing Of New Striker on 00:39 - Feb 3 with 584 views | Bridders2 | He's a massive 6 inches taller than Adam Armstrong, so let's start getting on the end of those Tom Fellows crosses. | | | |
| Saints Announce Signing Of New Striker on 08:13 - Feb 3 with 380 views | cocklebreath | I’m pretty happy about this window, I’m hoping it’s forward planning to give us more cash to spend in the summer, only problem is whether we spend it well. Armstrong was obviously not the right player for our new system so good to get a player similar to Stewart in for when he inevitably gets injured. Bring Edozie back into squad and we’ve got plenty of cover, plus getting rid of rubbish like Bella kotchup and Aribo was great business and don’t forget the massive upgrade in goal. | |

Agree on all counts. Optimism is strength...yes, I know I keep saying that. I have a dream...Big Cyle knocks in the winning pen in an 8-7 shoot-out victory at Wembley in May. With a Panenka.
| Saints Announce Signing Of New Striker on 09:41 - Feb 3 with 298 views | Monksway | No mention of Edozie. I'd like to see him re integrated into the squad as offensive cover for Scienza. As Jelert is still here I think he can play further forward as cover for Fellows -- he is too small as a full back in a four. Sorry to see Armstrong g in some ways but maybe a change in style is finally arriving with Stewart and Larin. | | | |
| Saints Announce Signing Of New Striker on 12:16 - Feb 3 with 221 views | Ifonly | Why do you keep describing Jay Robinson as an attacker? He's not, he's a winger just like Leo and Fellows. He's also obviously being used as their cover in the squad. So he's a midfielder, not an attacker. | | | |

I admire your optimism SouthamptonFan but unfortunately SR have turned me from a glass half full to a glass half empty type. I desperately hope Larin does well but to me it looks like another shocking signing from SR. His 30 international goals have been against mostly small central American countries and Caribbean islands. Of his 30 international goals only 8 have come in the last 4.5 seasons in 43 games When you look at his club and international stats he scored at a decent rate up to the age of 25 but has tailed off drastically over the past 5 years I'm also concerned that some sites have him noted as currently injured with a hamstring problem. I'm assuming Saints medical team checked this - just like they did with Ross Stewart We'll have to wait and see.
