| Norwich City Game Matchday Thread on 08:41 - Oct 14 with 1516 views | jopreston | I will get slated again but I don't care as I am right. This is another must won game. We lost the last time I said that, so this won is another we have to win if we want any chance of top two. Our away form is abysmal. We have to start winning away. We failed at Wrexham, Watford and Lincoln already. So tonight we have to stop that rot and start to win away and keep the gap reasonable. Sorry but as I said last time, a season is 46 games. The season is not won or lost in the last ten games when people say must win, the season is also won and lost by dropping silly needless points in the first ten games. | | | |

Some valid points there, its a marathon not a sprint, no one wins every game in a season, a team just has to win more than the others to win the league

And end up gaining at least an additional 4 points in our case.

So what you’re saying is, if we get more points than anyone else then we’ll win the league. Wow 🤩 hadn’t realised that.

Inclined to agree with you. It may “ only” be a four point deduction which was imposed but it’s a tremendous handicap which is reflected in the bookies odds and has been since the season started We may overcome it and finish top two but the bast—ds at the E F L certainly knew what they were doing when they applied it. Excluded from the Playoff final is one thing, who knows we could have lost to Hull over one game, but the points deduction stays with us for a whole season. As I said above utter bast—ds. Every game is a must win game really and with a gap starting to appear at the top of the league (and us 4 points behind everyone else) so tonight is an opportunity we need to take. Norwich not exactly on form right now, 3 defeats on the trot is it (?) so let's take our home form away along with our sell out allocation tonight, and prove we can overcome that 4 point deficit for good. We'd be 3rd if it wasn't for that

| Norwich City Game Matchday Thread on 14:10 - Oct 14 with 1052 views | 1885_SFC | IF we can manage a win tonight and a couple of other results go our way, we could move up to 5th place. Personally, I'm inclined to agree with the above. It's about time we turned around our dismal away form & started winning games on the road. The next two away games after this one are West Ham and West Brom. Time to find that form we had last season I reckon. | |

If we only get 4 or even 3 points then we would have to go to West Ham and get a result to keep in touch with the top 8 or remain in the top 8 after West Ham away .

| Norwich City Game Matchday Thread on 17:56 - Oct 14 with 809 views | TimSaint | We do need to win this one. To date, away from home this season, we have let the home sides dictate and it has cost us. We were bullied at Lincoln, hardly turned up against Watford, were poor at Brum and ridiculously poor finishing and defending cost us massively at Wrexham. We need to turn the corner and start winning away. Everyone is going on about how great Swansea are on social media, just because they are top at the moment. We made them look distinctly mediocre, a little over a month ago, but that was at home. We cannot rely solely on our home form, so need to start picking up wins away from home. We are due a win - especially after that handball goal from them to beat us last season. Perhaps we will play with a little more width tonight ? My proposed team: Peretz Bree, Schlot, Wood, Manning Leo, JWP, Downes, Fellows Azaz Larin Mubama, Matsuki, Jander, Dobbin and Stephens to all come on in the 2nd half and maintain squad fitness and rotation for the Bolton game | |

Yeah would have liked to see Mubama start Dobbin has offered very little so far Bree on bench so that’s odd

I feel Tonda has a bit of the draw names out of a hat about him. Why Edozie over fellows for instance. Hopefully Dobin will step up . I reckon it will be dobbin behind Azaz

Playing a derby with 10 men and just a couple of days to the next game was bound to have an impact. We go again Saturday so guess there was bound to be squad rotation. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

Wow, that’s a bizarre team by any metric. Should we lose this evening after this selection, Tonda’s after match interview is going to be very interesting indeed.

| Norwich City Game Matchday Thread on 19:21 - Oct 14 with 520 views | 1885_SFC | I can only assume that Bree & Scienza had slight knocks on Sunday & Larin has played a fair bit of international football lately as well as a slight back problem. Guess we'll find out after the game in Tonda's post-match interviews. No doubt we'll see all 3 of them on at some point if things aren't quite going to plan. | |

I’m with you SM, very strange indeed. By close of play he’ll either be a genius or a complete plonker.

Lewis Dobbin is 5’9 and we keep lumping the ball up to him. He’s not winning anything in the air in surprisingly.
