Liverpool Now Sold Out 11:43 - Jan 8 with 759 viewsSaintNick

With three weeks to go the likelihood is that we would have sold at least another 500 tickets meaning we could have taken the final block.

This means that our next three away games have all had reduced allocations and that we have sold them all out weeks in advance of the actual fixture suggesting we could have sold much more

Any reply from the club yet about this problem, Nick? They are clearly alienating some of our away fans by doing this.

The club’s response on this will be of real interest, I think.

They have really cocked up here.

Call me a cynic Nick but it does seem strange timing that just as Saints start to get their act together in terms of noise and numbers, with more lads and less noddies traveling, the club starts to take reduced allocations, including at grounds where we always sell out bigger allocations.

It's almost like they don't want a certain section of the support from going to games.

I emailed the club and they responded with a load of words, saying that they decide alocations considering TV, sat / evening game etc etc and have to decide a month at least in advance. They said there isn't the demand for some games and don't want to have to pay for empty seats. This is understandable for Burnley, Newcastle, Everton etc. But it doesn't make sense for usually popular games. Leicester would have sold out. Liverpool would have sold out. Chelsea would have sold out. I even think Palace would have sold out, even though its an evening game.

A game selling out 3 weeks before the match, without members having the chance to buy, is proof that for this game, there is the demand. I have emailed the club back saying exactly that and therefore why have they got it so wrong.

I know the answer is that they couldn't bare to have to pay for even 1 empty seat (self-sustainable club) but they should answer as to why members can't get an away ticket and many are missing out.
