I think he would. He's been complimentary about defeated teams before, including you guys in both games during the 'centurion' season. He's obviously incorrect here though, a certain short@rse from Argentina is slightly better, and we will be able to see that next season.

I get your feeling Timsaint. Are we in danger of being the team that everyone admires and praises but almost knowing that we are not a real threat. I am concerned that scoring is starting to become an issue again and just not clinical enough in and around the box which is something top teams are. Good game today and some lovely football but I never felt we were going to win and our overall results against the so called big 6 is poor. We just need that bit more addition of quality and experience to the team to lift us upto that level.

We’ve beaten Spurs and Man City this year! Plus decent draws with a couple of others. The fact we are giving them all a good game (although sometimes it’s only one half), is good. 7 clubs have more than double the cost of our squad. 6 clubs pay over double our total squad wages. Saints are 13th in squad values and 15th in wage bills, so we’re performing way above our expected standard. In this corrupt, money infested scum hole of a league we’re doing alright Especially since a lot of our squad value/wage bill is taken up by dross signed before Ralph’s time [Post edited 19 Dec 2020 21:06]

I agree Bicester we are doing really well, in fact, I am proud of how we are doing and I really rate our manager who I hope is with us for years. In terms of results I was referring to this season not the past year and I meant that if we really want to challenge then we will need to be more clinical and will have to beat some of these teams. I do love the way we play and watching us is enjoyable again and you go into it, knowing now we will give any opposition a game.

You’re right, I think the difference in beating those top sides is finishing chances, if Ings and Adams are fit and firing that’s what they give us, but the last few weeks with Ings fitness troubles and Adams not being deadly enough we can’t quite capitalise on our good build up play.

What is it with Guardiola? He just seems utterly pished off all the time. I mean, he is at a fantastic club with amazing players and incredible backing.......And he is clearly a brilliant manager.... I know talking to pundits is tiresome and they threw daft questions, but that is part of the job that rakes in multiple millions of £££ per year and pretty easy. He just seems rude and pished off.....

Stems from so many people asking leading questions about stuff not to do with the match just played. We had just smashed Watford in the FA Cup Final 6-0 and the first question one 'journo' asked, was if he was taking backhanders. Though I do agree he should reserve his ire for those deserving of it.

Do you really believe that considering the teams and players he has managed, that Pep thinks JWP is the best free kick taker he has ever seen ? Of course he is going to praise one or two Saints players (as he did with Redmond previously) and our (then) current league position, as it makes his hard fought victory look all the better. The words of an under pressure manager no doubt, especially after last season, but hopefully Pep can help knock Klopp off his perch and his team are slowly finding their form.
