Obviously some of our fans haven't noticed that teams concentrate nearly all of their attacks on our right flank nowadays and that's where most of their goals come from. Bertrand is the best defender we've got left.

The chances of finding a replacement anywhere near as good this summer, with our budget, are at least 10/1. We still haven't found an adequate replacement for Fonte.

I would keep him for another season given our financial situation but hope that we can afford another LB as cover/future replacement.

Let him go. Thanks for your services Ryan. Time for an overhaul of our keepers & rearguard.

It doesn’t matter how good he is Dirk he clearly can’t be bothered anymore.

Poll: Would you take an Fa Cup win if it meant relegation to the championship ?

He hasn’t had any proper competition for his place for 2 years since we sold Targett, it’s no wonder he looks like he’s not arsed half the time.

He could still be a good squad player if we signed a proper left back to rival him but he seems bored and his delay in signing up means we may as well let him go

But even if we sign someone better, who is going to push them for their place if Bertrand leaves?

On paper he's one of our top performers, experienced and talented. Bit as others have said he seems to be phoning it in these days.
Against spurs (or it might have been leicester) he gave the ball to Djenepo who tried to give it back. Unfortunately Bertrand had lost interest and had turned his back and switched off, content he had done his bit. The ball hit his heels as we had his back to djenepo and we lost it. That kinda sums him up, can be top class but just doesn't seem to want to push himself anymore.
