Thought he left a year or two too soon but at the time everyone on here thought he was too old at the age of about 30. Reckon saints have been crying out for many years for more senior players who are coming towards the end of their careers. Imstead every time a player gets past 30 there’s a desperate clamour to get shot of them.

Agreed. We have experience in other areas with Walcott, Ings, Romeu, Ward-Prowse but the central defenders are all inexperienced. We do need an experienced central defender and we could a decent one for free. We wouldn't even need to spend a fortune.
