We'll never know I guess what the truth is.

One scenario could be that Steve Clarke said "if you want to be selected for Scotland you need to be training and in the 1st team". Suddenly all is well.

That though Nick would make me either a cynical bar steward or conspiracy theorist (or both - if that is possible). I concede to being the former but I have never really been the latter.
