Just cancel it.

Kevin Friend as ref just makes the whole event a foregone conclusion.

If we score, he’ll disallow it.

Just a disgrace of a referee.

Tierney was that bad, he had me feeling quite a bit of sympathy for Klopp.

Which is truly disturbing.

Tierney got a lot of stick and quite rightly so in that he lost control of the game and booked a lot of players for trivial offences but got big decisions wrong.

But with regard to the big incidents, the Kane sending off issue and the potential penalty for Liverpool, they weren't really his decision, those in the VAR centre made those, for the life of me I don't know why they didn't ask him to go and view either on the monitor as they did for the sending off of Robertson.

It's not just the referee it's who is in the VAR, they hung Tierney out to dry yesterday

But they were both clear cut cases, Nick.

There shouldn’t have been any need for VAR.

I have no affinity for Liverpool at all, but that was terrible refereeing.

Exactly. The most elite league in the world and supposedly “select group” professional referees and they’d need a VAR to tell them Kane’s was a red? VAR should’ve overturned it though but they were gutless cheats.

The officials here are garbage on the whole.

Im not defending the ref, but VAR was introduced because with the pace of the game referee's were missing things, the kane incident was a follow through and difficult to see in real time.

The penalty call was difficult as the Spurs player pushed him on the blind side of the ref so difficult to see

VAR is there to cut out the obvious errors, it let Tierney down yesterday

Still way better than Moss, Dean and even Atkinson, as he can sometimes be pretty decent (like Watford away this season) and then can be abysmal at other games (Liverpool away like 2 seasons or so ago, with that pass back and clear penalty on Ings)
