I think Ralph is going to go with 3 central defenders and wing backs. The trouble is I can see him instructing the wing backs to be very cautious about going forward so we'll end up with a back 5 and little creation of chances. We'll be a team that doesn't get regular hammerings but loses to the odd goal. Going behind will be a problem because I can't see us getting back into games. I don't see centre back as our biggest problem because I reckon Salisu, Bednarek and Kotchup will do a job for us. For me the biggest needs are a strong, nippy number 10 who can dribble, carry the ball and pick a pass, a left back to cover Peraud's absence and a tall centre forward who can hold the ball up, head it, has a bit of pace and knows where the goal is. I dont think Bednarek will be here, he wasnt the same player last season and so far in pre season he has not looked interested, time to cash in and spend the money wisely on a replacement | |
