Irrelevant of whether you think that last weeks or this coming weekends games should’ve gone ahead or not, the issue of policing (due to the Queens funeral) has been an issue many have brought up over recent days. But by the sounds of things no games may be played in London (bar Arsenal VS Brentford) to try and lower the number of police required there for these games.

As from what the news is reporting, many PL clubs want the games to be played, and this may be the way I’m which they get sorted. Although there are issues around the changing of venues for the dates and transports/planning for the fans, as many originally away fans may now have plans as they weren’t going, but if it’s at home may be able to go so will be a hassle for them, and similar for the original home fans. As you’ve also got to get all the away tickets sold and the availability of refunds for all fans, so this is certainly far from perfect but could mean that the games may be able to take place next weekend.
Although if it was to happen you’d of thought that they’d of have to announce it by Tuesday at the latest. Still should be interesting to see of what happens… | |
