Up against Lincoln in the EFL cup 22:38 - Nov 10 with 1499 viewsSFC_Referee

Looks like the draws gone fairly well for us!
These games will be the first ones after the World Cup as well being in the 20th/21st of December.

Whole draw though is as follows…

Wolves V Gillingham
Southampton V Lincoln
Blackburn V Nottingham Forest
Manchester City V Liverpool
Manchester United V Burnley
Newcastle V Bournemouth
MK Dons V Leicester
Charlton V Brighton

Can’t lie but the draw couldn’t have gone much better than that, other than maybe Man U playing Newcastle! Still certainly looks like we could have a decent chance at making the quarter finals!

Great draw, nice little game pre Christmas, £10 tickets full house , Nick wearing a Father Christmas hat, perfect. Went to the away game last time we played them in the cup, lovely cathedral, we won can’t remember score. UTS!

Great draw. Something different. Just before Christmas and very winnable.

Well I blooming hope it’s winnable, as if it ain’t then I’ll be worrying about getting relegated from the championship next season as well as being relegated from the prem this season!

It was the 96-97 season under Souness

We drew the first game 2-2 at the Dell
Le Tiss with a trademark volley from outside the box and a header from van Gobbel of all people.

I also went to the replay - 4 of us in the car, up and back on the day.
We struggled for a while but came out eventual 3-1 winners with goals from Berkovic, Magilton (pen, as Le Tiss had gone off) and Gordon Watson. When Flash scored that 3rd, it was right at the end of the game, maybe even injury time, so sealed the win. His celebration involved squatting and pulling an imaginary toilet chain - basically saying that Lincoln were shite !! :-)

Anyone else go to this game, or remember the goal celebration ?

I said on my Sheff Weds player score analysis, that I hoped we got Lincoln, MKD, Charlton or Gillingham at home.
Although I like an away day, I have already been away to all the teams in the last 16, so therefore wanted an 'easier' home draw for us, so we can get through.
There is always the potential of the FA Cup draw, but I have already had my new ground for this season - Cambridge United.
