What, Luton or Stoke?
Is this just fantasy or plain lies? If he's going to start making things up any credibility he has managed to scrape up will surely evaporate.

He may well have done but to go from Rangers to Luton is not exactly an upward move for a player looking to grow and advance in the game. At least at the time he came we were a decent Premiership prospect for the player!

If you look at either Rangers or Celtic, the bulk of the players they transfer out don't go to the elite clubs and it quite common to see them go to Championship clubs, so not totally out of the question that Jones might have tried to sign Aribo.

Trying to sign him and managing it is a different matter.

Aribo was at Charlton until 2019 when he joined Rangers, Jones was manager of Stoke who did spend money in the summer of that year, the out of contract Aribo might have been on his radar
