A fair while ago I remember how I had to do a spot the difference in the clubs match-day program to enter into a draw for who’d be mascot. Always thought my dad just didn’t bother sending it in, but then on Christmas Day found out I’d won the draw, and sheesh I don’t think I’d ever been as happy as that in a long time!
Still I’ve always thought they should do little contest like crossword puzzles, spot the difference, find the hidden code etc… when selecting mascots so nobody can accuse them of being biased or such, as anyone who got the matchday could enter meaning that you didn’t need any sorta membership or such to get the chance. I do agree that they should perhaps get some interaction, but I can see why they would only select from their junior members club, they want to encourage young fans to interact with the club and stay interested rather than just start supporting Manchester United | |
