| Southampton At Brighton The Verdict on 12:16 - May 22 with 1640 views | Butty101 | "As one fellow Saints fan in the seat behind me said "This could all have been avoided by not sacking Ralph Hasenhuttl" He had a point, certainly if he had stayed then Hasenhuttl would have done no worse than Selles or Jones !" Under Ralph we would have gone down - his last 26 games yielded 16 points. The next 2 games after he went , were Liverpool away and Brighton at home. In all likelyhood 16 points from 28 games. He was a busted flush so lets move on. What went wrong was not employing Dyche. | |

Butty - sadly I was one of the very few deluded ones not in the ‘Ralph Out’ camp for fear (more than anything) of what we would get in. That said, I accept the club pulled the trigger but let’s be honest here, how many of us realistically thought we would stoop quite so low on the appointment(s) front. The sorry thing is, this genuinely could have been avoided had we had some fückers in the boardroom with a brain cell or two. Utter shambles that even makes Les Reed look like a football genius. God, how bad are we to be saying that ffs.

Had you said we are going to Sack Ralph and get Jones in, i dont think there would have been many fans calling for Ralphs head.

Absolutely. Bournemouth, Wolves, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace all replaced managers this season and actually improved afterwards. Who would believe it! Only Chelsea can rival us this year for crap managerial appointments.

| Southampton At Brighton The Verdict on 08:41 - May 23 with 1313 views | SonicBoom | I can't believe people are still mentioning Ralph. And Nick as well who's mantra always seems to be "it's not what you've done it's what you do next that matters". Ralph's last year was terrible. The fans were singing "you don't know what you are doing" when he made subs and we had the worst record in the country. But yeah he would have kept us up... It's alright saying we shouldn't have sacked him but most were pleased to see him put out of his misery. Remember if he had been getting even average results he wouldn't have been sacked in the first place. What is true is that SR made two catastrophic appointments since. With Jones they thought they were cleverer than everyone else with their metrics, and Selles, well I couldn't believe a team in our situation would employ a manager who had never been a manager. That was a quite extraordinary decision. The new guy seems a nice chap, probably has some modern ideas and plays nice football. Mind you we can already play possession football and pass the ball sideways and backwards. Of course there is a chance he will be great and with a few more resources than he's used to, he could really inject new life into the club. His record so far is mediocre but ..at least the championship will be more fun than getting dicked every week. | | | |

So we could get relegated AND win 13 games? Fantastic excitement!! They should be charging £800 for a season ticket for next season.
