I think the Charity Commission enquiry is seeking to establish that.

However, we Brits love to pull down anybody who is seen as being a bit uppity and who might have an advantage or an opportunity that we don't have (or are too lazy to acquire or build or earn).

Letting the facts get in the way of being able to throw some mud is being a spoilsport.
