Apparently Mowbray was sacked because he disagreed with the owners on their strategy. He's kept saying they need a bit of experience in the squad to get promoted. The owners just want to recruit youngsters that they can develop and sell on for a profit. All sounds a bit familiar.

It doesnt sound familiar to me , this summer we made 4 permanent signings, Ryan Manning aged 27, Shea Charles 19, Joe Lumley 28 & Ross Stewart 27, none of these aside from Shea Charles were youngsters.

Our strategy this summer was about getting in experience either permanently or on loan, hence Mason Holgate 26, Taylor Harwood Bellis 21 but with nearly 100 games to his name, Flynn Downes 24, Ryan Fraser 29.

So it's clear that the owners and indeed the manager have changed the strategy over the summer from a year ago when they bought in youngsters aligned with experience, of the 14 signings we made for 2022/23 season 6 were not youngsters, so it was quite balanced overall

I agree we changed strategy in the summer. What I was referring to happened a year ago - and so is still horribly familiar to many of us.
