Mara takes his chance on 20:07 - Dec 16 with 1386 views | PatfromPoole | Today proved what everybody already knew. He is a player who you can only bring on when the game is already won. Which sadly doesn’t happen very often for us.

Sorry Pat but you make statements that arent backed up by fact, Mara came on against Plymouth with the game at 1-1 we won 2-1, QPR at home on 56 minutes score 1-1 we won 2-1, Stoke away 72 minutes 1-0 to us stayed 1-0 to us, Hull away 86 minutes 1-1, we won 2-1. to name but a few performances Sekou mara has only played in 2 defeats this season and the 2nd of them was the last 5 minutes of the ipswich game

Stoke away. On the drive back in my car, I asked you what you thought of Mara’s performance. You admitted he wasn’t very good. Plymouth away, he hardly touched the ball. Hull away, a 40-yard dash to chase their left-winger down and a 4-yard pass to Downes which led to Fraser’s goal. I would love him to prove me wrong; I have just never seen him to have an impact when we really needed it.

Jeeze Pat, did you get out bed the wrong side today? Give the lad a break. Ive slated him a few times but was delighted to see him score and hopefully like Aribo we may start to see a half decent player at this level.

I didnt think he played that well at Stoke, but he didn't do much wrong either, he worked hard to make sure we got the result

Absolutely, at the start of the season certain players were being written off before they had kicked a ball, Adam Armstrong, Gavin Bazunu, James Bree, Sekou Mara, Sam Edozie & Joe Aribo. No one seemed to take into account that last season they were in the premier League and this season in the Championship so a lower level, all have played a decent part, not brilliant in all cases, but none have let us down and that has been good, Mara for instance has done a good job in coming on with fresh legs late in the game.

Another 4 seasons and he will have finally matched Brojas meagre total.

Mara takes his chance on 22:17 - Dec 17 with 859 views | Southamptonfan | The Championship, without a doubt, is a much better place for young players to develop. The Premier League is absolutely ruthless and destroys young players unless they are already fantastic. Our young players including Bazunu, Mara and the others are developing nicely in this league.

I believe Broja and Mara are now level pegging in this seasons goal scoring competition

Mara takes his chance on 13:37 - Dec 18 with 734 views | saint901 | Mara is not, in my opinion, good enough to play at our present level. He should be loaned out to a League1/2 side to get some game time. Go to L1, score a hatful and come back. Go to L1, be average and don't come back. If he had any dignity, he would be asking for a loan in January. Scoring against 10 men in the last few minutes is not an indication of class or quality.

Rumour recently was that he was being linked with Marseille and Lille on loan. And Werder Bremen still linked as well apparently. Big clubs…….

Mara takes his chance on 14:12 - Dec 18 with 706 views | darthvader | I like him . I think we should keep him and give him more time on the pitch . He has improved alot , put on a few pounds too so not so easy to shove off the ball . I thought his movements against cardiff were very good and when he come on on Saturday he improved the team , got fouled for the penalty, created a few things and scored . Happy for him and will do wonders for his confidence.
