Never mind the bollocks, Here’s Will Still… How he ever became a football manager is incredible… One thing though, having lived overseas myself for over 30 years. I understand his comments about feeling like a foreigner, when in England. I’m English and grew up on the south coast, but now feel like an outsider when visiting. I guess it will always be like that, the longer you’re away. Maybe it’s something only expats can understand…

Didn’t read Will Still, not interested. The expat thing is interesting though. Never felt like a stranger in a strange land, or a stranger in the bosom of Mother England. Freedom of movement enabled choices. Removing that freedom removed those choices. Living the life of an expat, in Western Europe, is now a conscious decision, no longer a right, more a privelege to be embraced.

This. At one point he said he didn’t know how to communicate with players and the media. Why then was he given the job. Astonishing. The fact we were nailed on for relegation and nearly ended up getting automatic promotion after he left says everything.

I'm sure that someone has said this before but his entire demeanour is of someone who won a competition to be a manager for a day and was then completely stunned by what it involved.
Maybe his football ideas aren't as bad as they seemed and time will tell if someone else gives anyone from the Still family another chance, but Jones has done alright again at Charlton.
But personality-wise, he can't manage in England. He's just too introverted and hesitant, and all this about being overwhelmed by how much there was to do ffs - you're running a professional football team, not a jumble sale! Just doesn't seem to have any leadership qualities at all.
