The only regular season game we've won at St Mary's in the last 4 years with McCarthy in goal was against Preston, and Preston did have an attempt at goal during the game! Peretz has been great, but he does have one big error in every game. He rushed out of goal against Ipswich, and same yesterday.
In fact had Bazunu done what peretz did he would have been crucified. Luckily it didn't cost us. |  | | |

If we get promoted, would it be better to have Peretz or Ramsdale in goal? Of course, nearly every goalkeeper looks good in comparison with Bazunu and McCarthy, but as you say, Peretz does tend to go walkies at least once in every game. He also makes spectacular saves.
One amazing stat from our last season in the Premier League is that we made more mistakes leading to opposition goals than any other team, but Ramsdale didn't make any.
Peretz makes more spectacular saves, but Ramsdale is safer. They are both much better than Bazunu or McCarthy.
It's a tough choice. Pity we can't keep both as we really need to get rid of McCarthy and Bazunu in the summer to ensure there is no danger of them appearing for us ever again. [Post edited 3 May 14:05]

I think McCarthy is out of contract in the summer so hopefully we won't be daft enough to give him another one?
I think TE has seen enough of Bazunu to realise that he isn't good enough, unfortunately so have Stoke so we'll struggle to get him off the books,.He's under contract until the summer of 2027 so at best it will be another loan until his contract expires
Reading the initial posts on this thread has reminded me of what an utterly wretched performance that was in the home game against Preston. It was obvious to me that it was going to be Still's last game in charge as the players just seemed to give up |  |
